Empowering Girls in Kombo East

The Kombo East District Girls Assembly, under the leadership of KEYCDA, has taken a bold step forward in empowering young girls and women across the district by successfully restructuring its Cluster Girls Platforms in Kuloro, Faraba, and Kafuta—with Giboro and Sohm scheduled for next weekend.
This restructuring forms a key part of preparations for the upcoming District Girls Assembly Congress, and more importantly, lays the groundwork for sustainable grassroots engagement.
During these sessions, discussions centered around launching a baseline assessment on pressing issues affecting girls in Kombo East, such as:
Teenage pregnancy
Early and forced marriage
School dropout
Gender-based violence
Each cluster is now tasked with leading this process in their respective communities—ensuring that future actions are data-driven and tailored to real needs on the ground.
The Kombo East District Girls Assembly remains a beacon of leadership, advocacy, and support—championing the rights and voices of girls and young women across the district.
Together, we rise. 💪🏾🌍
